Join us for the River City Cycle Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM is your opportunity to:
•       Celebrate the past season’s achievements and discuss plans for the year ahead
•       Participate in the election of Board positions
•       Help shape the future direction of the club

Our membership currently stands at 95 members, down from 120 last year, so we especially welcome your input on strategies for continued growth and engagement.

Board Elections
All positions on the Board are open to election.
However, please note that the current Secretary & Membership Director and Director of Road + Gravel will not be seeking re-election, so these key positions are open for new nominees.

Board Roles & Responsibilities
President
•       Chief operating officer of the Club; initiates and directs policy with Executive approval.
•       Chairs Executive and general membership meetings (or designates a chair).
•       Provides leadership and guidance in line with Club purpose.
•       Promotes the Club within the community.
•       Oversees Club subcommittees.
Vice-President
•       Acts for the President when needed and supports the purpose of the Club.
•       Assists the President and other Executive Members as required.
Director-at-Large, Road + Gravel
•       Arranges group road rides and develops yearly ride schedules.
•       Coordinates with mountain bike events and local races.
•       Promotes road riding events and ensures rider safety and etiquette.
Director-at-Large, Mountain Bike
•       Arranges group mountain bike rides and trail work days.
•       Oversees the Trail Committee.
•       Coordinates with road rides and local races.
•       Promotes mountain biking and ensures rider safety and etiquette.
Director-at-Large, Sponsorship & Recreation
•       Secures sponsorship for the Club (as prioritized by the Executive).
•       Coordinates recreational events and community promotion.
•       Substitutes for the President or Vice-President when absent.
•       Promotes safe and inclusive cycling practices.
Secretary & Membership Director
•       Books meeting dates and locations.
•       Records and circulates meeting minutes.
•       Manages Club correspondence and membership register.
•       Provides approved copies of all meeting minutes.
Treasurer
•       Maintains records of all financial transactions and Club accounts.
•       Pays approved expenses and reports regularly on financial status.
•       Acts as a signing authority on Club accounts (with two other Executive Members).
•       Manages finances for the Destination Development project.
•       Funding grant applications.
•       Liaison and managing the Barks partnership agreement.
•       Liaison and managing the Rec Sites and Trails Snowden partnership agreement & involvement in the Snowden Advisory group.
