BC Bike Race visits Campbell River July 5th, 2025
The BC Bike Race will visit Campbell River on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 as the 6th stage of this 7 day mountain bike race. An international field of over 500 riders will experience the world class trails of the Snowden Forest and the Pumphouse/Elk Falls Provincial Park trails. The race starts at 09:30am at PRT Nursery, and the riders will make their way through to the Snowden Forest trails returning anywhere from 2 to 7 hours later to finish again at PRT.
There will be minor traffic disruptions on Gordon Rd near PRT from 09:15am - 10:00am and on Brewster Lake Rd./John Hart Dam from 09:45am - 5:00pm (approx).
Access to the Parking lots at the Lost Lake and Riley Lake Parking Lots will not be possible from 8:00am - 5:00pm due to race operations. Access to the Parking Lots at Lower Lost Frog and Alligator Rock (North Side of John Hart Dam) will also be limited.
The race will use most of the trails in the Snowden Forest and Pumphouse areas. It is recommended to avoid these areas on this day from 09:15am - 5:00pm.
The BC Bike Race starts in the Cowichan Valley this year, before traveling to Nanaimo, Cumberland, Campbell River and then back to Cumberland. It is an exciting event that will bring up to 750 people to the area with riders and hundreds of crew, team support, family members, media and spectators.
